We might win anyway, but why take chances?

I'm officially a candidate for National Committeeman for the Michigan Republican Party. I'll be running against incumbent Saul Anuzis and State Representative Dave Agema. My campaign slogan is 'We might win anyway, but why take chances?' We really need new leadership at the MRP. Among the many mistakes that Saul Anuzis has made as National Committeeman (2010-present) and as State Party Chairman (2005-2009) include, but are not limited to: 1) His refusal to support Proposal 2 in 2006, an amendment to the Michigan State Constitution that ended racial preferences. The proposal passed with 58% of the vote; 2) His horrible record as state party chairman in the 2006 and 2008 elections. I know that Republicans had a rough time in those four years, but Saul could've done better. We lost the Governor's race, two U.S. Senate races, Supreme Court Chief Justice Cliff Taylor, and many local elections. In fact, John McCain shut down his entire operation in Michigan one month before the 2008 election, so of course Barack Obama won the state; 3) His endorsement of the National Popular Vote, an initiative started by liberals like John Koza that would enable the states to bypass the Electoral College. It would enable states to combine their Electoral votes so that the Presidential candidate who would win the popular vote in this alliance would automatically become President. This strategy is unconstitutional and dangerous; 4) His involvement in the 'DELE-gate' scandal, in which Mitt Romney received an extra delegate after the Michigan primary. This was in violation of Rule 19C of the state's bylaws which says that the two at-large delegates would be split proportionately. The rule provides an equation in which Rick Santorum should've received one of those delegates. The Credentials Committee, however, judged differently; 5) For the second consecutive national convention, the Republican National Committee has penalized Michigan by eliminating half of its delegates because our politic- ians and state leaders wanted to hold the primaries before they were allowed to do so. We can't let President Barack Obama win a second term. Our victory may be probable, but it is far from inevitable. If we win Michigan, we will win nationwide. If we lose Michigan, we might lose everywhere. If I'm elected, I will bring back the DREAD card and you will see a Republican revolution. For those of you who will be delegates to the Republican state convention on May 18th-19th, I hope I can count on your vote. Thank you. G.J. LaRouche, 23 April 2012
