Let me formally introduce myself and DREAD!

I know some of you have been reading my blog without knowing much about me. My name is G.J. LaRouche, and I've been an active member of the Macomb County Republican Party since 1997. I've volunteered for many campaigns and participated in many events like parades. I've been a precinct delegate and a state delegate from Michigan representing Macomb County since 1998. Today, America faces huge challenges since Democrats control the White House, both chambers of Congress, most governorships, most mayorships of big cities, most state legisla-tures, and countless local offices. In Macomb County, the Democrats enjoy a 20-6 majority on the Board of Commissioners. They are about to vote on a huge millage tax increase later this month. They also possess a 22-4 majority on the Charter Commission, which will author the new charter for Macomb County. Two of the biggest issues for this charter involve the establishment of a County Executive and a reduction in the number of County Commissioners. This will in-crease taxes sharply. The Democrats also have a monopoly of all five county-wide seats. In Michigan, Governor Jennifer Granholm (whom I call 'Jihad Jennifer') rules the state with an iron fist as she has ballooned taxes and spiked spending to great heights. Democrats also control the State House and have a 20-18 minority in the State Senate. Conservatives like me have a huge mountain to climb, but there is a solution. This is where THE DREAD BLOG comes in.

So why is it called DREAD? It's actually based on an old idea. Back in the 1970s when disco topped the charts, a Detroit radio station (WRIF, 101.1 FM) established DREAD, the acronym for Detroit Rockers Engage in the Abolition of Disco. The DREAD card united rock fans across Michigan. It evoked their visceral emotions and galvanized their resolve to destroy disco once and for all. Now I'm bringing back DREAD for today's tough times. But this time, DREAD stands for Devoted Republicans Engage Against the Democrats. I want to do to the Democrats what the original DREAD did to disco.

I ran for the Charter Commission last year because I wanted the Macomb County Charter
to reflect the values and virtues of the United States Constitution. (I didn't even win in the primary.) Sadly, the Democrats want to use the Charter as a weapon to oppress the good citizens of Macomb County. In my flyer that I used to advertise my election, I wrote something very haunting. I wrote: 'I do not fear that America will be a socialist country. I fear America already is a socialist country.' Even I am shocked at how prophetic I am. I honestly believe that the Democratic Party has literally become the American wing of the Communist Party. This may sound harsh, but it's true. The Democrats want to cut billions out of the military budget, print trillions of dollars of money we don't have, raise taxes through the roof, tripple the national debt in the next ten years, fight for abortions on demand, and take away our God-given freedoms. This is madness, and it must stop now.

But my number one issue is entitlement reform. These programs (Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid) currently have about $60 trillion in unfunded liabilities! This means that the govern-
ment won't be able to pay for the benefits of future recipients unless taxes go way up and bene-
fits go way down. I don't have a Ph.D. in economics, but I know a catastrophe when I see one. I want to use DREAD to advance a plan that I'm developing that will completely privatize these entitlement programs in the next four decades while lowering taxes and stabilizing the benefits.
I will keep you posted on my progress. Then I'll let you know what you can do to help. I will dedicate my life to this goal. If we don't reform the system soon, America will literally go bank-rupt within the next ten years. This will be tough because a lot of special interests will be fight-
ing. But I don't care. America is in trouble, and we don't need Democrats getting in the way. Together we will succeed. Thank you.
